TWINN Pottery is the studio practice of Faye Twinn.

I work alone from my garden studio which has a living roof and is my place of calm.

My work and inspiration comes from my understanding that we need to live slower for our planet, and our well-being.

I have an Eco-conscious ethos.

I research the origins of my ingredients and the impact they have on the planet. I make clean choices and pride myself on making my own glazes and sourcing materials and equipment with high ethical standards.

I use British mined stoneware and a dark Spanish mined stoneware which I occasionally blend for subtle colour differences.

In the studio I use a small eco top kiln and a Gladstone potters wheel. My equipment reflects my commitment to substanibilty.

All items will always be wrapped and packed in eco friendly materials.

I predominately grew up in Devon and Cornwall where I trained in Sculpture at Falmouth University. I went on to teach fine art in further and higher education before choosing to embrace pottery full-time.

I am completely self taught in ceramics and started by purchasing a second-hand wheel and investing many hours into throwing wonky pots.

Iā€™m also a mother and love swimming. If I am not in the studio or on a school run then I will always strive to be beside the waters edge, to have my nose in a book or found watering one of my many plants.
